Three New Postdoctoral Researchers
Arctic Domus welcomes Anna-Kaisa Salmi, Laura Siragusa and Sara Schroer, who are three new postdoctoral researchers in the project
We are pleased to welcome three new team members to our research group. Anna-Kaisa Salmi, who will be starting with Arctic Domus in February 2014, will be studying human-reindeer relationships and reindeer life histories among the Sámi of Northern Fennoscandia from an archaeological perspective. Sara Asu Schroer will be joining the project in autumn 2014. Sara will look at complex ways through which birds of prey are domesticated, as well as link her work with archaeological collections and other settings where birds are an important part of subsistence. Laura Siragusa will be starting in January 2015. She will be examining human-animal relationships through communicative interaction among Veps and Sámi in north-western Russia.
