The Arctic Domus team presents several papers at the IX annual Siberian Studies Conference at the Museum of Anthorpoloogy and Ethnography in St. Petersburg.  The full programe is here

Dr. Vladimir Davydov, the organizer of the conference, will give a plenary address on the History of the Siberian Studies Seminar and Siberian Research in the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography  He will also present a second paper on the Role of the Landscape in Relationships between People and Reindeer.

Dr. Dmitry Arzyutov, a co-organizer of the conference, will give a plenary address on Siberian Research in the Museum of Anthorpology and Ethnography as a history of Laboratories, Theories and Concepts. He will also present a second paper on Reidneer and Dogs among the Nenetses of the Tambei Tudnra: Two Strategies for the construction of "Animal Societiey"

Prof. Konstantin Klokov will chair a session and present on The Geogrpahic Aspects of the Relation Between Man and Animals in Northern Landscapes

Prof. Artur Kharinskii will chair a session and present on the Contemporary Reindeer Herding among Northern Baikal Evenkis

Dr. Evgenii Ineshin will present on Population of mountain and taiga regions of Baikalo-Patomskoe plateau during the Iron Age

Prof. Anderson will give a concluding honourary lecture entitled Arctic Domestication and the Ethnography of Siberia Arctic_Domestication_and_Siberian_Ethnography_2013.10.31.pptx
